It is one of the healthiest drinks in the world. And that's not really an exaggeration! How often do you indulge in green time? And can you prepare it properly?

Green tea nowadays deservedly holds a privileged position among the so-called superfoods. It seems that the more we learn about it, the more impressive it becomes. Its wide range of benefits has now been documented through scientific studies and, according to verified sources, an astonishing 600,000 tonnes of dried green tea leaves are drunk worldwide every year.

What are the effects behind the popularity of a drink that has been enjoyed by mankind for over four thousand years? Green tea is first and foremost

  • a powerful antioxidant;
  • capable of supporting cognitive function;
  • effective in stimulating fat burning;
  • effective in preventing aging.

How do you prepare a drink with so many beneficial effects of green tea

PREPARATION FROM A BAG

  1. Pour 80-85°C water into the cup. To avoid having to constantly use a thermometer, it is sufficient to let the water that has started to boil cool in the cup for about two minutes.
  2. Now add a tea bag and let it infuse for 3 minutes.
  3. Remove the bag and enjoy your green tea.

MAKING SYMPANOUS TEA

  1. Pour 80-85°C water into a kettle or French press. The procedure for cooling the boiled water will be the same as for the previous description.
  2. Add sprinkled green tea to the water, 1 teaspoon for every 250-300 ml. If you have a really big pot, add an extra teaspoon to make the tea strong enough.
  3. After the tea has been steeping for three minutes, strain and serve.

You may be surprised to know that in both cases you are adding the green tea to the water, not pouring water over the tea. There is a reason for this with green tea. It gives you the perfect taste of tea without an unpleasant bitter aftertaste.

Drinking green tea is a personal ritual

And you should approach its preparation accordingly. Take the above practices as recommendations, you may find that you are better off infusing some types of green tea for a shorter period of time. Some people may prefer tea that is lightly sweetened with honey or cane sugar. It is important that you enjoy your green tea.

Don't be afraid to experiment and find the way that gives you the best tea experience.
