The Great Coffee Revolution - the birth of espresso
Although coffee beans arrived in Europe in the 17th century and grew rapidly in popularity, the now popular espresso had to wait until the early 20th century to be born. A strong black coffee prepared by applying intense pressure of hot water to ground espresso beans, espresso was first brewed by Italian businessman Luigi Bezzera.
And in the beginning there was nothing but the dissatisfaction of a hurried businessman who wanted his fresh coffee on the table quickly. He found that by pressurising the water into the ground coffee, the drink was ready sooner. And much stronger too, able to perfectly accentuate the quality of the coffee used. The original presses were called "Fast Coffee Machine" and at the same time, unfortunately, they are not associated so much with the name of the original discoverer, but rather with the iconic personality of Desidero Pavoni, who bought the rights to produce the so-called "fast coffee" from Bezzera coffee machine" and had everything patented right away.
