Beansmiths is a Czech roaster of fine coffee. The choice coffee is always grown in a mountain environment, where temperatures are lower and more stable and the coffee can mature more slowly and acquire all its flavour characteristics.
Un Regalo se Dios Farm is located in the Dipilto-Jalapa Mountains in the north of Nueva Segovia. It is an area at around 1700 metres above sea level with a rainforest microclimate and temperatures ranging from 16-18°C.
This particular farm has a total of 250 acres of land, of which 40 acres are under coffee cultivation. In 2010, the farm won the Cup of Excellence for having the best microclimatic conditions for growing choice coffee.
Seven coffee varieties are grown here, harvested separately so that the coffee can be accurately tracked after processing and individual lots can be independently evaluated and sold.
This particular lot is processed using the dry method at the Dry Mill Las Segovias facilities. Drying was carried out in the classic African way on beds shaded against too much sunlight. This allows the coffee to be dried slowly and very consistently.
