Kraus Yerba Maté Pure Leaf Organic is an organic, stem-free yerba maté from the Argentine province of Misiones. It is made from the leaves of the Paraguayan holly (Ilex paraguariensis), and thanks to hot-air drying, it has a milder, cleaner flavor without a pronounced smoky note.

The Kraus brand emphasizes environmentally friendly and sustainable cultivation. No herbicides, pesticides, or artificial fertilizers are used in production, and the brand prioritizes long-term soil fertility and the preservation of biodiversity. The result is pure yerba with a low natural dust content, a balanced infusion, and verified origin.

Recommended preparation

  • Water temperature: 70–75 °C (a lower temperature helps control the strength)
  • Amount: 3/4 of a calabaza
  • Ideal with a bombilla with a fine filter due to the high amount of powder

Preparation in a French press or teapot: Use approximately 12 g of mate per 1 liter and let it steep at 80 °C for about 5 minutes.
