Rosamonte Elaborada con Palo Tradicional is a traditional Argentine yerba mate with a more distinctive flavor profile. It comes from Argentina and will appeal primarily to those who enjoy a fuller-bodied, more intense, and slightly bitter yerba.

The blend consists of leaves, small stems, and a moderate amount of dust. Thanks to its classic processing, the infusion has a full herbal flavor, a distinctive aroma, and a pleasantly long finish. It also acquires its distinctive character during the aging process, which takes place in contact with rosewood.

Rosamonte is suitable for traditional preparation in a gourd with a bombilla, but it also works well for making a refreshing tereré. Thanks to its intensity, it is particularly well-suited for more experienced yerba mate enthusiasts or for those seeking a more distinctive everyday option.

Ingredients: 100% yerba mate elaborada—leaves, stems, and dust.

Recommended preparation

  • Water temperature: 70–75 °C (a lower temperature helps control the intensity)
  • Amount: 3/4 of a calabash
  • Best enjoyed with a bombilla featuring a fine filter due to the high amount of powder

Preparation in a French press or teapot: Use approximately 12 g of mate per 1 liter and let it steep at 80 °C for about 5 minutes.
