A precision-made aluminium grinder with steel grinding stones and bearings that competes with brands like Timemore, but at half the price.
The Kaffia Barista grinder is made of aluminium, making it both lightweight and durable. Thanks to the precision 420 stainless steel stones, the grind is better than grinders with ceramic stones such as those from Hario, Porlex or Rhinoware. The grinder has a relatively longer handle, which also makes grinding easier.
The bottom container is screw-on, so it stays securely in place while grinding.
Theconical grinding stones are made of quality steel and ensure a stable grinding coarseness for years. Adjusting the grinding coarseness is very simple and is done by turning the wheel anti-clockwise. Compared to the competition, the grinder also has a numerical indication of the coarseness, for easier orientation in the grinding coarseness.
The grinder is suitable for all alternative coffee preparations. It can also be used to grind fine espresso, but as with other grinders in this price range, it does not allow you to adjust the grind accurately enough, i.e. the steps may be too large to set the correct recipe in an espresso machine.
