This is one of the projects run by the Mamacoffee roastery, led by Chepe in Nicaragua. He describes the women of the COASSAN cooperative as being very determined to improve the quality of their coffee and achieve better results.

The goal of the project is to create better conditions for trading on the global market, which small-scale farmers would otherwise find difficult to access. Based on previous experience collaborating on the Aranjuez Women’s Project and the Coomcafe Women’s Project, Mamacoffee decided once again to support women—who often face greater challenges in the coffee industry—and to give themthe space and opportunity to grow.
