Do you love the V60 and pour-over coffee, but don’t always have the time or inclination to deal with multiple brewing stages, precise swirling of the kettle, and a preparation process that takes several minutes? SIMPLIFY the Brewer was created precisely for those moments when you want a great cup of pour-over coffee more simply and quickly.

Its philosophy is summed up by the motto “Lesser, faster, and stronger” —fewer steps, faster preparation, and yet a bold, well-extracted cup. SIMPLIFY is designed so that beginners, experienced specialty coffee lovers, and professional baristas alike can achieve great results.

Fast flow without unnecessary obstructions

One of the main differences from classic drippers is the huge 40mm opening at the bottom. This allows water to flow through virtually unimpeded.

The design also minimizes contact between the paper filter and the walls of the dripper. The filter doesn’t stick to them, and water can drain significantly more freely. Thanks to the high flow rate, you can use a finer grind while still maintaining a short brew time. A finer grind allows you to extract more soluble compounds from the coffee and brew an intense, full-bodied cup.

Ventilation Between the Dripper and the Server

SIMPLIFY stands on three legs, which create space for airflow between the dripper and the server.

As the coffee drips, air can escape freely from the carafe without creating back pressure that would slow the water flow. Even this subtle detail helps ensure that water flows through the coffee quickly and smoothly.

Pseudo Double Wall – More Stable Temperature

The water temperature during brewing significantly affects coffee extraction. With conventional drippers, some heat is lost through their walls.

That’s why SIMPLIFY uses a design known as Pseudo Double Wall. An insulating layer of air forms between the paper filter and the dripper’s body, helping to minimize heat loss.

The plastic material itself also contributes to this. Plastics conduct heat significantly less than, for example, glass or ceramic, so the dripper draws less energy from the water during brewing. The result is a more stable temperature and more consistent extraction.

Six protrusions on the bottom

A detail that may seem inconspicuous at first glance is the six protrusions on the bottom of the dripper.

These slightly deform the bottom of the paper filter and influence the movement of water within the coffee bed. The design thus promotes water flow and contact with the ground coffee, which contributes to efficient extraction.

Lightweight, Sturdy, and Durable

SIMPLIFY is made of lightweight, BPA-free plastic suitable for food contact. Compared to glass or ceramic, plastic not only has low thermal conductivity but also significantly lower weight and high impact resistance.

The dripper itself weighs approximately 60 grams, making it practical not only at home but also for travel.

Flat Bottom and Kalita Wave 185 Filters

SIMPLIFY uses commonly available Kalita Wave 185 paper filters.

The flat base of the filter helps spread the coffee into an even layer. As a result, water flows through the coffee bed more consistently than with a deep conical shape, and the brewing process is less sensitive to precise pouring technique.

It is precisely this combination of a flat base, very fast flow rate, and a simple pouring method that makes SIMPLIFY an interesting alternative to classic V60-style drippers.

No complicated pouring

With SIMPLIFY, you don’t have to worry about a bloom followed by several precisely timed pours, nor do you have to swirl the kettle across the entire surface of the coffee.

Simply pour the water into the center of the coffee bed. KThe dripper’s design takes care of the rest.

The entire brewing process can be completed in approximately 60–90 seconds.

Made in Japan

SIMPLIFY the Brewer is manufactured in Japan. Behind its minimalist appearance lies a series of design details whose sole purpose is to brew good filtered coffee with as few unnecessary steps as possible.

Recommended recipe:

1. Place a Kalita Wave 185 paper filter in the dripper and rinse it with hot water. If you want to simplify the process as much as possible, you can skip this step.

2. Place 15 g of finely ground coffee in the center of the filter.

3. Over the course of about 30 seconds, pour 230 g of water directly into the center of the coffee. There’s no need to use a circular motion.

4. Let the water drain completely. The entire brewing process should take about 60–90 seconds.

5. Serve and enjoy your filter coffee.
