Mothershipis a complex yet approachable espresso blend that has won the hearts of both professional baristas and home coffee enthusiasts. It stands out for its full, creamy body, subtle milk chocolate notes, and elegant floral aroma. Thanks to its balanced profile, it’s perfect for making a classic espresso and as a base for milk-based drinks like cappuccino or flat white.

This blend combines two carefully selected coffees—one from Uganda and the other from Ethiopia. Each brings its own unique characteristics to the cup, and together they create a harmonious whole.

Uganda – Upper Bukyabo (Coffee Gardens)
Since 2017, the CoffeeGardens project has focused on transparent and sustainable coffee cultivation. The coffee comes from high-altitude regions and is processed using a 20-hour waterless fermentation method. It is then washed with cool mountain spring water, dried on African drying beds in solar dryers, and hand-sorted in twelve steps. The result is a clean, elegant, and juicy profile with good body.

Ethiopia – Agaro, Goma (Tullu Dimtu – Kata Maduga)
The Kotta Cooperative is part of the Kata Maduga group, which has been supporting local farmers in organizing coffee sales and exports since 2016. Small-scale growers here farm plots ranging from 1 to 20 hectares, and thanks to an elevation of over 2,000 meters, the coffee cherries ripen more slowly, which contributes to a higher bean density and greater sweetness.

After harvest, the cherries are processed using the washed method— they ferment for 12 hours and are then dried for 6 to 7 days on African drying beds. The result is a clean and bright flavor profile. The coffee is a blend of native Ethiopian Heirloom varieties, which deliver floral and herbal notes with a light body in the cup.
