Mothership is a comprehensive yet accessible espresso blend that has won the hearts of professional baristas and home coffee enthusiasts alike. It features a full, creamy body, subtle milk chocolate in the taste and an elegant floral aroma. Thanks to its balanced profile, it is perfectly suited for the preparation of classic espresso and as a base for milk drinks such as cappuccino or flatwhite.

This blend combines two carefully selected coffees - one from Uganda and one from Ethiopia. Each brings its own unique characteristics to the cup, and together they create a harmonious whole.

Uganda - Upper Bukyabo (Coffee Gardens)
Since 2017, the Coffee Gardens project has focused on transparent and sustainable coffee farming. The coffee is sourced from high mountain areas and processed by fermenting without water for 20 hours. It is then washed with cool mountain spring water, dried on African beds in solar dryers and hand-sorted in twelve steps. The result is a clean, elegant and juicy ingredient with good texture.

Ethiopia - Agaro, Goma (Tullu Dimtu - Kata Maduga)
Kooperativa Kotta is part of the Kata Maduga grouping, which has been supporting local farmers since 2016 to organize the sale and export of coffee. Smallholders here farm between 1 and 20 hectares of land, and due to the altitude of over 2,000 metres, the coffee cherries ripen more slowly, contributing to a higher density of beans and their sweetness.

After harvesting, the cherries are processed using the washed method - fermented for 12 hours and then dried for 6 to 7 days on African beds. The result is a clean and bright flavour profile. The coffee is made up of a blend of native Ethiopian Heirloom varieties that bring floral and herbal notes with a light body in the cup.
