Canarias
Canarias is a type of yerba mate from Uruguay, which is produced in southern Brazil. It is a mixture of dried leaves and finely chopped stems. It has a very fine grind, an earthy flavour and a high caffeine content, so it provides a strong stimulant. It is one of the strongest and most intense types of yerba mate, popular with experienced drinkers. With its unique processing, it offers an uncompromising maté experience unlike any other brand.
Ingredients: Paraguayan Yerbaya (Maté)
Weight: 500g
Recommended preparation
- Water temperature: 70-75 °C (lower temperature helps control the intensity)
- Quantity: 3/4 calabash
- Ideal with a fine filter bombilla due to the high amount of powder
Preparation in a French press/teapot: For 1 litre, use approximately 12g of mate and leave to infuse at 80°C for about 5 minutes.
