Taragüi
Taragüi Con Palo is a traditional Argentine yerba mate with a balanced blend of leaves, small twigs, and dust. It is one of Taragüi’s best-known classic blends and offers a full-bodied, distinctive flavor with a typical Argentine character.
No smoke is used during the drying process, so the resulting flavor is not smoky but is based primarily on herbal notes, a more pronounced bitterness, and a subtle acidity. Thanks to this combination, the infusion is well-balanced and suitable for regular, everyday consumption.
The leaves provide the blend’s main flavor profile, the twigs pleasantly soften it, and a small amount of dust enhances a fuller and more intense flavor, especially during the first few infusions. The result is a consistent, clean, and pleasantly distinctive yerba mate without a smoky aroma.
Ingredients: 100% yerba mate (Ilex paraguariensis). The blend contains leaves, twigs, and dust in the traditional Argentine “con palo” style. It originates from Argentina and is smoke-free.

Recommended Preparation
- Water temperature: 70–75 °C (a lower temperature helps control the intensity)
- Amount: 3/4 of a calabash
- Ideal with a bombilla featuring a fine filter due to the high amount of powder
Preparation in a French press or teapot: Use approximately 12 g of mate per 1 liter and let it steep at 80 °C for about 5 minutes.
