Rosamonte Yerba Maté Selection Especial is a traditional Argentine yerba matémade from the leaves of the Paraguayan holly (Ilex paraguariensis). It offers a full-bodied, balanced flavor and the typical character of authentic maté. It’s perfect for classic preparation in a gourd with a bombilla and will appeal to both experienced yerba enthusiasts and beginners.

The raw material used comes from Rosamonte’s own plantations as well as from carefully selected growers. The ripe leaves are harvested by hand and then undergo traditional processing—heat treatment, drying, grinding, and final blending. Rosamonte also monitors the quality of both the raw materials and the finished product in its own laboratories.

Careful packaging helps preserve the flavor, aroma, and freshness of the yerba mate until the package is opened.

Recommended preparation

  • Water temperature: 70–75 °C (a lower temperature helps control the intensity)
  • Amount: 3/4 of a calabaza
  • Best enjoyed with a bombilla featuring a fine filter due to the high amount of powder

Preparation in a French press / teapot: Use approximately 12 g of mate per liter and let it steep at 80 °C for about 5 minutes.
