Playadito Elaborada Con Palo is a traditional Argentine yerba mate from the province of Corrientes. It is produced by the Cooperativa Agrícola de la Colonia Liebig, a cooperative that has been growing and processing yerba mate since 1926.

This yerba is characterized by a delicate, balanced flavor with slightly sweet notes and a pleasant aroma. Thanks to its lower bitterness and gradual flavor development, it is suitable not only for experienced maté enthusiasts but also for beginners who are just getting acquainted with this traditional South American beverage.

The designation “Con Palo” means that the blend contains small pieces of stems in addition to the leaves. These help soften the flavor of the infusion and give it a harmonious character. Playadito retains its pleasant flavor even after multiple infusions.

What makes yerba maté special?

How to Prepare Yerba Maté

Place 10–20 g of yerba mate into a calabash or other container with a capacity of approximately 300 ml. Pour in boiled water at a temperature of 70–80 °C. Do not use boiling water, as this may result in an overly bitter taste.

You can pour hot water over the leaves several times, as long as the drink retains its flavor and aroma. For the traditional way of drinking it, we recommend using a calabash and a bombilla.

Storage

Store in a dry, dark place. Protect from moisture, high temperatures, and direct sunlight.
