El Cipres is a really big farm consisting of many smaller ones, such as El Mirador, which occupies 6.5 hectares out of 90. There is often a perception that when something is done on a large scale, it is not good. However, that is certainly not the case here. On the contrary, the Alvarez Gallardo family, which owns the farm, is always thinking about the quality of the environment around the farm and the living conditions of their workers. We don't play the certification game at Rebelbean, but it's clear that these farmers do and are proud that their coffee carries the Rain Forest Alliance label.
