If you are wondering who is behind the "little man with a moustache" you see on every model, it is the likeness of Alfonso Bialetti, who invented the moka pot in 1933. He simply wanted to differentiate his products, so why not his character :-)
TheBialetti Venus is made of polished stainless steel and the comfortable handle is made of heat-resistant plastic. It is thanks to the high quality, robust yet simple construction that bialettes are so popular worldwide.

The best moka pot I've ever tried. Luxurious and sturdy construction, everything is perfect and well-finished, beautiful design, and the coffee is amazing.
The coffee pot is really nice, and it makes excellent coffee. “6 cups” is a bit misleading—the resulting 235 ml or so is just the right amount for a single serving for me. Stainless steel is better than aluminum, though it does need to be polished—no question about it. There’s no printed Czech manual, but you can find it here in electronic form. I use a gas stove, and turning down the flame is safer—the manual even mentions this, if you can find it.
We have a tiny moka pot from the same, most traditional brand, but there are often more of us drinking coffee, so it wasn’t enough. This new one with a copper finish is great. It brews coffee quickly and well, and it looks amazing while doing so. A big advantage is that it works on an induction cooktop (for our older model, we use an adapter—a small hotplate), and the amount brewed is just right for our two cups.
The high-gloss metal finish has one minor drawback: every fingerprint and dried water droplet shows up on it, but that doesn’t spoil the fun—we have a dishcloth.
