Matcha is made from carefully selected tea leaves, which are shielded before harvesting to give them a more intense flavour and a higher content of valuable substances. The leaves are then ground into a very fine powder, which is neither fermented nor strained during preparation - so you drink the whole tea in its full form.
In organic quality, it is suitable for those who prefer pure ingredients and a gentle approach to cultivation. The 30 g pack is ideal for both first introduction to matcha and for regular home use.
The taste is mild, fresh and slightly grassy, with a pleasant sweetness and a typical umami aftertaste. Its balance makes it suitable for both traditional preparation and modern drinks and recipes.
Preparation
- Sift the matcha (3-4g) into a pre-heated bowl (chawan)
- Add 40ml of water at 70°C
- Stir in a slow 'W' shape

Organic Matcha Tea Ceremony contains no known allergens. However, due to its higher intensity, we do not recommend drinking it on an empty stomach as it may cause nausea in more sensitive people.
Warning:
The recommended daily dose for an adult is 4-6 g of matcha. Approximately 2 g per day is recommended for pregnant and lactating women and children.
