The Hario Mini Mill Slim PLUS from the Japanese brand Hario is, like all Hario products, high quality, precisely crafted, simple yet highly elegant.
Thanks to its small size and low weight, the Mini Mill Slim PLUS is the ideal travel companion. It is a proven travel combination with, for example, the >>Aeropressem<< or the >>drip.<< Thanks to the two markings on the transparent container, you can easily measure the amount of coffee needed for 1 or 2 cups of fresh coffee.
However, we wouldn't like to send it only on trips, it is also suitable for everyday home use, where it easily competes with even more expensive electric grinders.
The grinding mechanism of the grinder is made of ceramic and is easily washable under a stream of water. Of course, the grinding coarseness is adjustable. Here, the coarseness can be conveniently set from the bottom of the grinding unit by turning the nut either clockwise or anticlockwise. The body of the grinder is made of high quality plastic.
The difference from the original version, apart from the noticeable colour change from transparent to dark smoke, is mainly in the improved handle. Unlike its predecessor, the Mini Slim PLUS grinding handle has a hexagonal finish, is more durable and better transfers your force to the grinding stones, resulting in a more even coffee grind and longer grinder life.

The grinder is great (my first one), and the ritual of grinding coffee has become a daily fixture in my life. One possible drawback—it’s not easy to adjust the grind size; you can only do it roughly, since there’s no scale or anything like that. But I don’t think it bothers me; I always grind at the same setting, and I’ve got the hang of it now. So it’s pretty great :)
It's a shame that, unlike its bigger brother, it's made entirely of plastic. It grinds well.
The grinder works perfectly; I recommend it.
This is my second one, and so far it's been flawless.
Completely satisfied—it does exactly what it's supposed to do
It's a really nice little product. Perfect for hand-grinding, lightweight, and practical—even for travel. It's easy to keep clean, looks great, and the price is just right. I think it was a good choice.
An excellent coffee grinder. Makes about 4 servings—perfect for traveling or for a couple of homebodies.
I already have two; they grind well. It takes me the same amount of time to grind one serving of coffee as it does to boil 250 ml of water.
A great hand grinder—the coffee is ground really well and tastes great. I'm very satisfied.
A Christmas present—I have a bigger little brother, and I'm happy with him.
an excellent lineup
Great grinder—I recommend it
Top-notch performance at an affordable price
It's an excellent product; I really like it.
High-quality grinder body, fits comfortably in the hand, easy to adjust the grind size.
The grinder works as it should; it can even be adjusted for a very coarse grind
Small, lightweight, with adjustable grind settings. The only thing that’s actually changed from the previous version is the handle, but it’s a noticeable improvement—grinding is definitely easier. Perhaps the only thing that impressed me a bit less was the dark smoked coffee container; I preferred the previous clear version.
It works well
A great grinder for everyday use, for grinding small amounts of coffee—up to 2 cups. Easy to use, disassemble, and grind. It’s my first grinder, and I’m completely satisfied with it.
A small, lightweight grinder at a reasonable price that does exactly what you want it to. It has a wide range of grind settings and can be taken apart into many pieces for cleaning.
Although the grinder is lightweight, it requires a bit of effort to grind, so it’s not entirely easy to hold comfortably while grinding. It’s therefore better suited for grinding coffee just before brewing than for grinding larger quantities of coffee at once. Disassembling, washing, drying, and reassembling it takes some time.
This grinder was recommended to me at the store. It’s convenient to use and easy to adjust. The lid for the coffee beans was a nice touch. If the hopper were open, I’d probably end up using a lot more coffee. The measuring spoon in the ground coffee container is very practical. After a few tries, you’ll know right away how much to grind fresh for each type of coffee. It feels sturdy and well-made.
A solid 70%.
The handle is terrible. Its shape isn’t ergonomically comfortable, and on top of that, it can easily fall off while grinding coffee.
The container is transparent, but a clear one would be easier to see through. It’s unnecessarily compromised for the sake of design. The same goes for the container’s opening, which is quite narrow—meaning you can’t get a spoon inside.
