Below the Farallones del Citará mountain range, surrounded by the Cochuana forest, lies Finca Los Alpes at an altitude of 1 650-1 950 m above sea level. Founded in 1974, the Arboleda family grows coffee on 100 hectares (100% Caturra). The coffee is processed in their own wet mill, where the cherries are stripped of their skins and pulp, followed by fermentation lasting 15-19 hours and drying for up to 7 days. The result is a coffee with the taste of sweet chocolate, a subtle fruity acidity and a hint of nuts.
