The PID model featurestemperature control via a PID sensor, which allows you to set the coffee extraction temperature (80°C–100°C) and steam temperature (105°C–120°C). The settings are accurate to 1°C. The PID display also shows the time elapsed since extraction began. Additionally, it features an improved steam wand that prevents potential burns.
The coffee maker features an analog pressure gauge to indicate and monitor coffee extraction pressure. The coffee maker also has an easily accessible adjustment screw that can be used to set the pressure relief valve and thus regulate the extraction pressure. This screw is accessible after lifting the top panel.
The coffee maker has a single-chamber boiler with a capacity of 0.75 L and is made of stainless steel. The entire boiler is insulated to prevent heat loss.
This coffee maker is ideal for home use if you primarily prefer espresso. It is also possible to prepare coffee with frothed milk, such as a cappuccino or latte macchiato, but only if you make smaller quantities of these drinks. If you prefer drinks with frothed milk more often, we recommend considering a coffee machine with a dual boiler.
