This beautifully crafted natural lot from the Hambela district in the Western Guji region is the production of a group of 150 farmers from the village of Gute Sodu Kebele. The Dikitu processing station after which our coffee is named is located right next door.

The farmers are led by the owner of "Buno Coffee Trader", Mr. Abiyot, who since 2018 has been tuning the processing processes in the stations throughout the area. This includes Dikitu, where he decided to do only the natural method of processing and therefore acquired 120 African beds. Mr. Abyiot has been closely involved in the entire processing process for the past two years and has been selecting farmers to work with. He tries to achieve the best possible result of drying the grain for its final taste. For this reason, he has hired a manager nicknamed Bashura to oversee quality and export. He checks the processing and storage method every day. Bashura has assembled a team to help farmers improve the quality and quantity of their grain, so they are working more closely with them. Buno pays the local farmers whose coffees are part of the tender lots 1 birr (local currency) for every kilo they deliver during the season. They are thus trying to teach them to wait for the cherries to ripen.

We hope this coffee will appeal to you too with its notes of peach, blueberry, pomelo and a slight peppery mint at the end of the taste. We like it a lot at the roastery and are happy to be able to end the Ethiopian coffee season with it. When we run out of this coffee, we'll be eagerly awaiting coffees from the new harvest.
