Bialetti
We can rightly call the Bialetti Moka Express the queen of all moka pots. It has been manufactured in the same design for over 80 years and has become the best-selling moka pot in the world. If you’re wondering who’s behind the “little man with a mustache” you’ll see on every model, it’s actually a likeness of Alfonso Bialetti, who invented the Moka pot in 1933. He simply wanted to make his products stand out—so why not with his own likeness? :-)
The Bialetti Moka Express is made of food-grade aluminum, and the comfortable handle is made of plastic. Aluminum cookware is often unpopular, but in this case, that’s not the case. Over time, the inside of the coffee maker develops a patina and absorbs the flavor of the coffee. It is precisely because of this flavor and the simplicity of the entire mechanism that Bialetti coffee makers are so popular worldwide.
