How it all started
It all started around 2012. At the time, I was making websites for a living and looking for a really good quality coffee for myself. I ordered more than I could drink at the time, so I put the rest up on a simple e-commerce site.
I was surprised by the interest. I found that I was not alone in looking for an honest product. Fresh coffee was joined by mocha pots and gradually tea, chocolate or yerba mate. I simply wanted the best for myself and I started to offer the same to my customers.
Later I wanted to offer people a wider choice, so I started to cooperate with other roasters in the Czech Republic. I also included brands from abroad, such as Trung Nguyen, which I liked during my trip to Vietnam. The company gradually grew. First we couldn't fit in the shop, then we needed another warehouse, then a bigger warehouse... and so it went on :-)
Freshness first
We pay extreme attention to freshness in our Gourmet Coffee and Gourmet Coffee Specialty coffees. They are roasted for us every week to get the beans in the best condition.
For other select coffees from our partners, we make sure they are in our range for a maximum of one month after roasting. I often work with roasters directly on a customized basis, tasting the coffee in person during cupping. I select coffees for you personally and even sometimes in countries like Colombia.
Our Kaffia brand
The Kaffia own brand was created to offer quality without unnecessary extras. An example is the Kaffia Barista X grinder, which is one of the best sellers in the country due to its top quality workmanship at a reasonable price.
Shipping speed
We normally ship most orders the same day and now we also ship packages on Sundays. It may happen that your weekend order will be delivered on Monday.
