With its plantation area of approximately 2.3 million ha, Brazil is currently the largest producer of Arabica coffee in the world . This is mainly due to the fact that its area covers three climate zones (equatorial, subtropical and temperate) and therefore has ideal conditions for growing coffee trees. The majority, i.e. about 2/3 of the total production, comes from small coffee growers. Thanks to its area, Brazil produces a large number of types of coffee, but we can still declare one type to be the most popular and the best. It is Brazil's Santos . The epithet Santos was given to this coffee after the port of Santos, to which it is transported from the São Paulo region, and from which it is exported to the world.
Origin of coffee : In the São Paulo region, which is located in the south-eastern part of Brazil, the coffee plant is the main agricultural crop for the local people and thus it is given the utmost care and effort. The Arabica coffee tree (Coffee Arabica) is grown here at a lower altitude (800-1000 masl) and precisely because of this, this species is characterized by lower acidity.
Taste : Brazilian Santos coffee is famous above all for its lower acidity and full body. In the coffee, chocolate and nut notes are combined with subtle fruity notes. The taste is mild. The aroma is pleasant without a trace of bitterness.
This type of coffee is truly a classic that no one can spoil. Ideal for a daily experience of delicious coffee.
