The second most widespread type of coffee plant is Coffee Arabica or Robusta . Robusta is sought after by coffee lovers mainly due to its high caffeine content. Coffee made from Robusta will certainly relieve you of fatigue, as it contains up to 2x more caffeine than Arabica . Another great advantage of Robusta is its beautiful crema, which is darker and beautifully tall. Robusta is very often used in blends and Arabica. Arabica adds flavor and aroma and Robusta adds the desired strength, creaminess and high caffeine content. With an appropriate ratio, you will achieve a really great result. On the market today, it is possible to find Robusta of various qualities, from the downright bad ones to those that can be compared to the best Arabicas. One of the best Robustas you can get is India Cherry.
Origin of coffee : Robusta likes warmth and humidity for its growth, and India, which is the world's largest producer along with Vietnam, Brazil and Indonesia, provides this environment 100%. Our robusta comes from Karnataka, India. Here, coffee trees grow mainly in mountainous areas. The unique processing of grains using the so-called moonsoning method is also typical for Indian robusta. After harvesting, the coffee is exposed to several weeks of cold wind and monsoon rains, which have a real force in India, and this gives it a very specific taste that makes it sought after by many.
Taste : Robusta is simply stronger than Arabica and is also more bitter. It is a strong coffee with a beautiful high crema. Beneath the typical spiciness, you will finally discover chocolate tones in it. Cherry is not sour, it has medium to low acidity. This is a strong, intense coffee that you will appreciate especially in moments when you need a real boost. The caffeine content is around 250mg in one cup, while Arabica has a lower content, around 120 mg.

The coffee is excellent, and it has a hefty caffeine content. I just wish you had more varieties of Robusta from different countries. I’d love to buy, say, an Advent calendar with 24 different Robusta beans, and on Christmas Eve, I’d add a little punch to my final cup of coffee. I’d really look forward to an Advent like that. :-))
