Coffee and bananas are the two main exports that most of us associate with Costa Rica , a country located in Central America, washed to the east by the Caribbean Sea and to the west by the Pacific. Already in 1779, the first coffee plants were brought here from Ethiopia, and it was the first place in the world where large-scale coffee production began . Today, coffee accounts for approximately 1/4 of sales from foreign trade. Costa Rica is very proud of the quality of the coffee it produces, which is why the cultivation of robusta is prohibited in the country .
Origin of coffee : Costa Rica Tarrazu got its name from the region in which the best and most famous coffee plantations are located, Tarrazu. It is located approximately 80 km south of the capital San José, and our coffee is grown here at an altitude of around 1600 meters above sea level. The taste and aroma of one of the most famous coffees in the world is a combination of acidic soils from extinct volcanoes, tropical sun, gentle sea breeze and also the , that there are about 100 times more coffee trees than inhabitants. That is why it is possible to devote maximum care, love and effort to each plant.
Coffee taste : Tarrazu is characterized by incredible balance. Immediately after the first sip of coffee, you will feel spicy chocolate notes complemented by a caramel aroma, followed by a rich harmonious body, which is accompanied by a nutty taste. The coffee is mild, only slightly acidic and for its properties it is highly sought after especially by women, as well as by those who are just starting out with quality coffees from the most famous plantations in the world.

Once again, it's excellent, with a slightly different character than the Guatemalan coffee. Perhaps for the first time, I can relate to the description—after taking a sip, I can actually detect a subtle hint of caramel in the aftertaste.
