The coffee from Vara Blanca is a personal favourite for Nordbeans . This year they went to Costa Rica to pick it personally, where all three chiefs went together. Vara Blanca was one of the main destinations of their trip and the warm welcome they received from the Mario Marín family is one of their fondest travel memories. They have been buying coffees from the Marín family for many seasons and looking at the care with which they look after the farm and the processing, they realised that they could not have made a better choice years ago. This lot of Typica and Bourbon varieties are processed using Costa Rica's signature Honey method, which brings out the unique character of vanilla, marzipan and red apples.
