Roasting coffee is a real alchemy that ultimately affects the flavour characteristics of the coffee. Generally speaking, we are playing with the two basic characteristics of coffee, which are acidity and bitterness. In simple terms, the more we roast the coffee, the more we suppress its natural acidity and accentuate its bitterness. The Italians, for example, are well-known around the world for roasting their coffee to a very dark colour, whereas people in the Nordic countries prefer to enjoy coffee roasted to a very light colour.

Brazil Santos medium roast coffee stands out for its natural acidity and full body. All our other 100 rabica are roasted to a darker grade.

With a plantation area of approximately 2.3 million hectares, Brazil is currently the largest producer of Arabica coffee in the world. It owes this mainly to the fact that its area is spread over three climatic zones (equatorial, subtropical and temperate) and therefore has ideal conditions for growing coffee trees. The majority, about 2/3 of total production, comes from small-scale coffee growers. Due to its size, Brazil produces a large number of different types of coffee, but even so, we can still claim one type to be the most popular and the best. It is Brazil Santos. The Santos coffee is named after the port of Santos, where it is shipped from the São Paulo area and from which it is exported to the world.

Origin of the coffee: In the region of São Paulo, located in the south-eastern part of Brazil, the coffee plant is the main agricultural crop for the local population, and so it is given the utmost care and effort. Coffee Arabica is grown at a lower altitude (800-1000 m above sea level) and, as a result, is characterised by its lower acidity.

Flavour. The coffee combines chocolate and nutty notes with subtle fruity notes. The flavour is delicate with smooth flavours and smooth smooth smooth flavours. The aroma is pleasant without a trace of bitterness.

This type of coffee is truly a classic that certainly can't be faulted. Ideal for everyday enjoyment of delicious coffee.
