Horizon Supreme is a washing station located in the hills of southern Rwanda, where the combination of high altitude and rain creates some of thebest conditions in the country. The owner , Leo Fidele Ndagijimana, bought the mill from the previous owner who had been unable to process coffee for many years.
After purchasing the washing station in late 2018, Fidele replaced and repaired the mill's machinery. He used his experience managing washing stations in western Rwanda to create a new standard of quality. Fidele named the wet mill Horizon to drive his vision of processing quality coffee.
The station receives cherries from small farmers in the area and distributes batches according to the week they are delivered. For the next harvest, the Horizon team is focused on expanding the systems they have put in place.
