The Rancho Grande farm has been producing coffee since 1933, when Mr. Aneite Reis inherited 5 hectares of land. Today the farm is run by his grandson José Carlos Reis and his son Flávio - Fafa. Their responsible approach to growing and processing coffee, together with their openness to change, has produced amazing results. They invest in equipment and work hard on the quality of coffee produced for the "specialty coffee" market.

They are constantly trying new processing techniques, such as static drying boxes that slow down fermentation.

At Rancho Grande, they take good care of their coffee, the environment and their employees, some of whom live on the farms and are provided with food and electricity. In addition to growing coffee, the farm is also known for its milk and beef production.

The Acaia variety produces large red cherries and is the chosen cultivar of Mundo Novo, which has done very well in Brazil. Mundo Novo is a natural hybrid between Typica and Bourbon that was discovered in Brazil in the 1940s.
