El Paraíso is a village in the district of Huabal in the region of Cajamarca. The center of the village lies on top of a small mountain at an altitude of 2000 m above sea level where there are wonderful views on all sides and hence the name of the village, which in translation means "paradise".

Local producers mainly grow the Caturra, Bourbon and Catimor varieties, which they mix together. Coffee farms are spread around the center of the village at an altitude of 1850 - 2050 m

Producers from El Paraíso have amazing coffee and huge potential , but very difficult conditions. For many years, they have been selling coffee through so-called "intermediaries" at very low prices. The Catimor coffee variety, which is widely promoted here by the government and multinational buyers, is adapted to lower altitudes and often produces only leaves on local farms. Farmers are poorly informed about farm management, pruning and the use of chemical fertilizers and herbicides.

Falcon Coffees employees have been working in northern Peru for several years and do a very good job there . It seeks to correct all mistakes, improve the quality of coffee and increase the financial value of farmers . They have set up their own coffee warehouse in Jaén and can buy coffee directly from producers. Only in this way will the premiums for higher quality coffee reach them directly.

Due to the fact that Huabal covers several mountains, the climatic conditions here are very diverse. Some areas have a humid climate with red "African" soil, others are dry and hot. That is why coffees from this area are very diverse and complex in taste .
